Is the placement of Deuterostomia as a subkingdom typical? I've seen it placed as a superphylum of the subkingdom Bilateria, but more often as an unranked group.--Josh Grosse
- I think you're right. I've never heard them called a subkingdom and my General bio text doesn't say anything about placement. Although I do remember other instructors of mine say that they are a type of superphylum since several Deuterostomia phyla all have similar zygote cleavage. --maveric149
