modes of action 2 & 3
[edit]Modes of action 2 & 3 are unclear: What is exactly inhibited wrt RNA? Is RNA transcription inhibited (likely since there is this big molecule in the way attached to the DNA) or is transcription inhibited?
Is point 3 a result of 1 & 2 or is there another mechanism?
MOAs 2 & 3 are vague and seem to be a direct result of 1. From my lecture notes here it seems that they work via inhibiting topoisomerase II. This also seems to be supported by what's on the anthracycline and doxorubicin pages. I have edited the page to reflect this. Serrin 08:32, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Suggested move
[edit]Suggest Move to Antineoplastic agent.
Antineoplastic is an adjective or an abbreviation. The article should exist on a clear and static term for a noun if it is to describe a noun.--ZayZayEM (talk) 01:21, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I rather suggest that this page should be moved to Cancer chemotherapy, after moving Chemotherapy to that one, as discussed at Talk:Chemotherapy: Move Chemotherapy to Cancer chemotherapy. Mikael Häggström (talk) 05:38, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Suggested merge to Chemotherapy
