Antisemitic vandalism of article?

[edit]

Someone's placed a Jewish star (✡) next to Brody's name in the beginning of the article. I'll be removing it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.71.0.44 (talk) 00:27, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: Seems to have been added by 79.6.156.52. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.71.0.44 (talk) 00:30, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Born 1973-04-14 or 1976-12-23?

I'd trust imdb. -- WojPob

magazine appearances? Featured article and cover of issue 37 of American magazine Mass Appeal. Maybe include link, when issue goes online? comment left 8 Jan 2006

Personal Life Section

[edit]

is appallingly badly written.

roman polanski pedophile comment

[edit]

I deleted that useless and demeaning term, even though he was charged with it; it shouldn't be a term associated directly to his name in every reference. Such as in the sentence "Adrien Brody achieved worldwide fame after starring in the main role of pedophile Roman Polanski's The Pianist.

It looks like obvious rule-breaking insertion. People can find out about Polanski's background with the link to his page. Deleted.

Acceptance speech

[edit]

I highly doubt that his Oscars acceptance speech, in its entirety, needs to be included here. Especially not when its lead ("His honest, shocked reaction to receiving the Oscar will be remembered for some time. His acceptance speech, though, was considered one of the best ever:") definitely leans toward OR. If no one objects, I'll change this accordingly. Adam/Adrien Brody

[edit]

Any relations?

No, Adrien is an only child (I'm a former neighbor). Miniapolis (talk) 20:09, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Table Problem

[edit]

Splice is 2010, not 2009... Look at its article —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.101.64.72 (talk) 02:47, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The entire bottom of the page has messed up formatting at the moment that I don't know how to fix. Basically, all of the references and portals are part of the info for his most recent film as opposes to new sections. Anyone know how to fix this? Beeswax07 (talk) 07:26, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

César Award

[edit]

The article states that Brody and Johnny Depp are the only American actors ever to win the César Award. According to this wiki, Depp won an honorary César; however so have other American actors, including Harrison Ford, Dustin Hoffman, Will Smith, Meryl Streep, Clint Eastwood... so I plan to remove that line. 66.57.42.103 (talk) 10:43, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brodyquest?

[edit]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygI-2F8ApUM

A video that is... sort of about him, and it has over 1 million views, should it be mentioned? I mean that is kind of significant, kind of a meme. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.27.2.166 (talk) 03:22, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

@173.27.2.166 * It has absolutely nothing pertinent to Adrien Brody, other than a stick-figure personification of him, in an absurd video about nonsense. Someone was simply testing their video-editing skills. Stevenmitchell (talk) 06:22, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life section

[edit]

The personal life section is far too brief and lacking in detail. There is nothing about his well-documented romances with long-term girlfriends Michelle Dupont (who went to the 2002 Oscars with him) or Elsa Pataky (the Spanish actress who starred in "Giallo" with him). Maybe something should be added about when he sued the "Giallo" filmmakers? (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/25/adrien-brody-suing-giallo_n_788423.html) It was widely publicized as well. PRo44 (talk) 17:57, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you've got good verifiable references for all of that, then I say be bold and write it! Lhb1239 (talk) 18:27, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. I shall! Once I get this work done... PRo44 (talk) 22:17, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Quite a while later, I added the "Giallo" litigation bit. The reference is intact, but the formatting is not right in the bottom section. Can anyone help with that? And I'm struggling to find a legit source for Michelle Dupont. Lots of sketchy things, but nothing reliable enough. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PRo44 (talkcontribs) 20:21, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs to be protected because every single day, Neil Cicierega groupies add "Brodyquest" to Brody's filmography. --Sow-crates (talk) 19:20, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The IMDB external link is misdirected. Could someone please add "000"(three 'zeros') before the other four numbers on the target link? I would, but even after having just created my account, I am not able to. Thanks. ZJCitrusG (talk) 21:14, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I did it, so it should work now. White Arabian Filly Neigh 21:48, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What about Brody's sexual assault on Halle Berry?

[edit]

Was this article written by only Adrien Brody fans and his publicist? There's nothing in this article that references Adrien Brody's sexual assault on Halle Berry, when he was receiving his Academy Award in 2003. Shouldn't that be included amongst all the public relations fluff in this article? Isn't this supposed to be a modern encyclopedia? There are plenty of media articles to reference this event... Stevenmitchell (talk) 06:07, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Stevenmitchell, I came here wondering if it'd be mentioned. I don't personally have enough familiarity with the media coverage of Brody to know whether or not this would be due, but if you think it is, you're welcome to boldly add it. Compiling some of the coverage here might also help build an argument for retaining it, particularly if it's only a brief mention in the article. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 20:32, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Adrien Brody not youngest..

[edit]

It's been common knowledge for years that Tatum O'Neal is the youngest ever academy award winner at age 10 years old for Paper Moon. Cnorris5349 (talk) 01:36, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
