Future Laundryverse novel ref
[edit]"Nope, TFM is set in 2012. CNG has been rescheduled. And yes, there is One True Religion (and we know how to deal with elder god worshippers when we find them).
(That's a major plot point in book #4 -- Christian or Muslim fundamentalists in the Laundryverse are not merely wrong and misguided, they may unwittingly be serving Powers we really don't want to see served.)"

Neptune's Brood
[edit]I assume it is now appropriate to put Neptune's Brood back as a standalone article? The claim in the merge discussion that the material would simply be folded into this article is completely absurd after the fact. Choor monster (talk) 15:58, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- If you have some sources (like reviews), I say go ahead and restore it and add them. If anyone challenges you at that point, there can be another discussion. 129.33.19.254 (talk) 16:22, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- OK, it has been recreated, three reviews cited and quoted, some start at actual article content. I am not trying very hard to make it a "real" article, and leave that to others. Personally, I would delete the Scrivener section. Choor monster (talk) 18:06, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
Formatting the Merchant Princes series
[edit]How about something like:
Blah blah blah (all the general information, in one or two paragraphs) followed by:
- The Bloodline Feud (2013, ISBN 978-1447237617)
- The Family Trade (2004, ISBN 0-7653-0929-7)
- The Hidden Family (2005, ISBN 0-7653-1347-2)
etc.? Choor monster (talk) 13:39, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
Bisexuality
[edit]Mr Stross does not make a big deal out of it, but he is an out bisexual. In his own words:
Like I'd want their blood money? Hint: LGBT here. (Subtype: invisible married bisexual.)

- That's it? If it's that low-key by Stross, then it really doesn't deserve any mention by WP. Choor monster (talk) 13:56, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
- I disagree—this is exactly what WP:BLPSELFPUB is for. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.226.98 (talk) 23:00, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- I said "low-key", not "unreliable". You haven't contradicted what I said at all. Choor monster (talk) 14:10, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

- The subject said so himself on his blog, seems valid to me, but I'd suggest a 3rd opinion. I'd suggest taking this to WP:RSN or WP:BLPN. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:23, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
- No one is disputing the truth of the claim, or the reliability of the source. I doubt anyone who is interested in Stross considers "bisexuality" the least bit "contentious". There are no RS or BLP issues. You're just wasting everyone's time.
- The dispute concerns exactly what has been stated from the beginning here: WP:UNDUE. It's a clear-cut violation, and we will wait until some 3rd party reliable sources think it's worth a mention. Choor monster (talk) 12:15, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Merger of some of his novels by series?
[edit]A number of the individual book articles for Stross are currently quite short. Would it make sense to just merge them together into articles like The Merchant Princes or The Laundry Files? (maybe not for Halting State, since that's a looser "series" with Rule 34, but.) No content would be lost, it'd just be in a list-like article instead. SnowFire (talk) 18:29, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
