dave azzolini married jesica grassia and she used to be a music teacher at my school.

-- this is an amazing band which EVERYONE should listen to, jessica grassia is also my cousin

I am listening to both of the golden dogs cd's right now "Everything In Three Parts" and "Big Eye Little Eye" and i am having one of the best times of my life. They are legitamate and do not deserve to be deleted from wikipedia. Basic research will disprove any misleading evidence of the bands credibitly. They are a revolutionary band and deserve way more than the underwhelming recognition you are delivering (you being wikipedia), just you wait.

Notability Thoughts

[edit]

While they might actually be notable enough based on several record releases, they need some third party sources (i.e., newspaper or magazine reviews of shows, or albums; chart positions for some of the recordings, etc) to indicate it. --Rocksanddirt 19:01, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure this isn't an issue any more but I'll just throw this in here: They are notable enough, simply based on the fact that they were signed to True North. Also, they've received significant coverage in the press. See: Wikipedia:Notability (music) - tSR - Nth Man (talk) 20:09, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some notability Research

[edit]

From CMJ.com "Canadian indie-popsters the Golden Dogs are set to embark on their first US tour, opening for Electric Six and the Willowz. The Toronto fivesome—composed in part by husband and wife duo Dave Azzolini and Jessica Grassia—are playing in support of their latest album, Big Eye Little Eye (Yep Roc). After being released in Canada last year, the record will finally see the light of day stateside August 21. Here's hoping the band's East Coast trek runs a little smoother than their drive to a November 2006 gig in Vancouver, in which their van careened downhill and nearly edged off a cliff. Yikes!

Fair use rationale for Image:Golden dogs band group photo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Golden dogs band group photo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Biased opening line in History section?

[edit]

Personal feelings aside, I think that the opening paragraph of the History section sounds like it was written by the band's manager... it's far too biased, in my opinion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sammysunset (talkcontribs) 16:17, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
