The topic of this article is of dubious notability and has a variety of other issues. I've tagged the article with the relevant template messages. Please address these or it will nominated for deletion a month from now. Madcoverboy (talk) 17:39, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This topic probably does not merit a stand-alone article. However, it is highly important to the history of student life at Wiess College, as it for many decades has been the college's best-known and in some sense defining annual event, and also a source of long-running controversy between Wiess and the rest of the university. Rather than being deleted, the article should first be merged with the Wiess College article, and then improved in keeping with the ongoing improvements being made to that article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.155.226.3 (talk) 17:56, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is a popular event and noteworthy.

Hi, I think this is a notable event. Playboy magazine has covered it on a national level. From this article (https://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Rice-party-puts-focus-on-campus-alcohol-policy-3991652.php): "having gained national fame after Playboy magazine named it as one of the top college parties in America.
