The Norwegian acronym AVH expands to "den allmennvitenskapelige høgskolen". This is very awkward to translate into English, and I solicit your help. arj 14:38, 3 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Ntnu-logo-english.gif
[edit]Image:Ntnu-logo-english.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:07, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Faculty of Medicine
[edit]I'm a medical student in Trondheim, and I was unaware of the existence of a Department of Change Management. I considered removing the listing, but figured I should start with askig what it is. What is it? --Shingra (talk) 17:41, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
...as much a question as a notification, how can one graduate from a school before it's founded? (Kristoffer Olsen Oustad graduating in 1882, while NTH was founded in 1910) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.242.12.217 (talk) 02:16, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
- An answer, almost five years after the question was posed ... The school he graduated from was founded in 1870. I think maybe you mistake it for The Norwegian Institute of Technology, which was founded in 1910. Kjersti Lie (talk) 12:28, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
The illustrations in the article

Proposed merge with Faculty of Medicine, NTNU
[edit]I don't see why we need separate articles about individual faculties. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 16:12, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
- I would say that depends on how much there is to write about the faculty. There are several articles on university faculties/schools here. As the article stands now, I do agree, it might very well be merged into the NTNU article, but if somebody expands it with information on pioneering research etc, a separate article may be relevant. First of all, I will add more information on the various faculties in the NTNU article. Kjersti Lie (talk) 08:52, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
- I have had an e-mail from User:Krimed, saying that it is OK to merge, (or, in fact delete) the faculty article with the NTNU article. What is the procedure from here? Kjersti Lie (talk) 13:05, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
Merger between NTNU and three Norwegian colleges
[edit]The article will need a major restructuring, due to a merger between NTNU and the colleges in Gjøvik, Ålesund and Sør-Trøndelag. NTNU's information on the merger Kjersti Lie (talk) 11:10, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
