Lotball
[edit]It's up to the community whether this article should be kept or not. I can't undo my AfD nomination. You should take what you wrote on my talk page and put it on either the Lotball talk page or the AfD page. — ApolloCreed (comment) (talk) 02:15, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

Your AfD comment
[edit]I removed the late comment you posted to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/17M because it came after I closed the discussion, but I wanted to reply so you wouldn't feel that your input was just squashed for no reason.
Failure to assert notability is one of the criteria for speedy deletion. Criterion A7. Even if notability was reasonably asserted (which in this case it was not), that would only have saved it from a speedy deletion, but without reliable sources to establish notability (of which there are none) the article would still have been deleted. - Thanks for telling me; I came into the discussion just a bit too late, it would seem. I understand completely what you're saying and, in most cases I would be inclined to agree with you, but I believe that this should have at least gone through the standard process instead of the speedy deletion. - In response to this edit: If the article was based on popularity, it wouldn't have been deleted; there were four sockpuppets who wanted to keep it, and only one person (the nominator) who wanted it deleted. Verifiability was extremely easy for me; I'm from the same area as the supposed "gang", so I immediately knew all the local sources to check for notability, like the Times Herald Record and the Sullivan County Democrat. Have a look for yourself. Not a single thing. Kafziel Talk 01:57, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Good work, I understand. However, I do find your monitoring of my edits a tad bit unnerving. Inventm 02:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Don't worry, I'm not monitoring your edits; I'm monitoring his user page. Kafziel Talk 02:24, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Little context in President Stephen Colbert
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on President Stephen Colbert, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because President Stephen Colbert is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting President Stephen Colbert, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 09:07, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
