98.7 FM
[edit]Just curious, how come 98.7 FM isn't on the list? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.251.65.121 (talk) 2007-03-24
1410 & 850 AM
[edit]There is a station at 1410 AM, that doesn't appear to be on there that I think is coming from Aurora, can anyone help me out? Ilyanep 03:00, 11 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- That would be 1410 WRMN, whose day pattern is for Elgin, Illinois but whose current night pattern seems to be licensed to Kane, Illinois. See FCC AMQ for WRMN. I've never heard of that trick before. --Closeapple 12:18, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm...I'm pretty sure both 1410 and 850 have changed since I asked this question, but thanks :) — Ilyanep (Talk) 16:24, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
There's also one at 850-AM , it's russian. I don't know the call letters though. Ilyanep 23:08, 13 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- The FCC AMQ for 850 kHz lists all the stations in the Americas on 850. Some possible candidates:
- WCPT Crystal Lake, Illinois is Air America Radio now, but I don't know what it was in June 2004 when you asked. I thought there was a Russian station in Chicago recently, but I can't remember what frequency it was on.
- KICY Nome, Alaska is technically a clear channel, and it runs Russian-language Christian programming from 11pm to 4am Alaskan time ([1]), which is 2am to 7am Central.
- KWOF Waterloo, Iowa is a daytime-only station that I highly doubt you'd hear with WCPT practically in your backyard.
- KOA (AM) Denver, Colorado, which is the 850 clear channel for the continental US. It's all English as far as I know.

WNBA
[edit]WNBA-AM exists, yet, it isn't mentioned here. It says this list is incomplete, doesn't it?? 66.245.68.185 23:07, 13 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- This comment was a one-time possible troll. See Talk:WNBA, Talk:WNBA (disambiguation), and my newly-created Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WNBA (disambiguation). --Closeapple 12:18, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
WCFF
[edit]WCFF, 92.5, is in Champaign, not Urbana. It has been in Champaign, at various addresses, for many years. It was previously WKIO. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dgwicks (talk • contribs)
- 92.5 is an Urbana allocation, not a Champaign allocation. WCFF is licensed to Urbana, which is what is used for the city name after the callsign. (That being said: the main transmitter is 40°0′45.0″N 88°8′29.0″W / 40.012500°N 88.141389°W, just northwest of Philo, Illinois, and they have a backup at 40°6′40.0″N 88°14′35.0″W / 40.111111°N 88.243056°W at the corner of Springfield Ave. and Neil St. in Champaign. And the studio is at 2603 W. Bradley Ave., which is also in Champaign.) --Closeapple 12:18, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Red links
[edit]We need to get something together to get some articles written on a lot of these. I'd be willing to help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.23.72.24 (talk) 2006-09-15
