[edit]It was Julius Axelrod who worked on the pineal gland and melatonin. He shared the Nobel prize at the same time as Katz (they were otherwise unconnected) and their work was mixed up by lazy writers in a couple of Katz obituaries. This confabulation (repeated here) also led to the description of Katz as the founder of modern psychopharmacology, which is meaningless garbage. Aplested 17:04, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)

British?
[edit]What's the basis for claiming he was British? As a British subject naturalised in Australia he would have become Australian on 26 Jan 1949 and not held UK citizenship. Did he ever register or naturalise as a UK citizen? JAJ 20:09, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
