Catteries

[edit]
Resolved
 – Routine cleanup per WP:SPAM, WP:EL, WP:COI, WP:UNDUE, etc.

I removed the mention of "cateries" for a variety of reasons related to Wikipedia policy.

  • The existence of "cateries" is unmentioned in the main Cat article, and was uncited in the addition.
  • If the claim is made that an organisation or idea is criticized, then reliable published sources mentioning who did the critisizing must be provided. Otherwise it is considered an example of weasel words.
  • Wikipedia is not an advice resource or how-to guide. The mention of, "...it is generally recommended" is prohibited outright.

[edit]

 – Answered.

can someone confirm it. i am a little bit confused because when i saw the images of the Birman cat it kinda looks like the himalayan cat also..... just want to know if they are related as cats. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fasalina (talkcontribs) 07:00, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All of the point-colored cats are related, and ultimately derive from the original, robust, non-elongated Siamese. — SMcCandlish  Talk⇒ ɖכþ Contrib. 13:27, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Breed standard

[edit]
Unresolved
 – Needed section not added yet.

The Japanese Bobtail page has a section explaining the standard of that breed- maybe a similar section here would also be nice? Any Thoughts? --Catsrule27 (talk) 17:24, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, all cat breed articles should have this, citing specific organizational breed standards as to the specifics (including differences between the standards). — SMcCandlish  Talk⇒ ɖכþ Contrib. 13:27, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposed

[edit]

The farcical nonsensical stub Siamese Persian cat needs to merge here (or simply redirect here if none of it is salvageable, which is probably the case). — SMcCandlish  Talk⇒ ɖכþ Contrib. 13:27, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
