Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fortree City

Fortree City is not important. It is also not relivant because it is a made-up city, and as Pokemon are not popular anymore.
- Keep I may not be a Pokemon fan, but I still feel this should be kept. All other cities in the game are mentioned, and it's an aspect of the game. Also, an article isn't judged on popularity. Additionally, it doesn't matter if it's a made-up city. Many shows and books have made-up areas, yet there are articles for them in Wikipedia. Enzo Aquarius 02:36, 26 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect. Merely saying "some members of class X have individual articles, therefore all members of that class should have them" is not a very compelling argument, especially if class X is "a component of the fictional world of a show or book" and no attention is paid to which show or book is under discussion. -- Antaeus Feldspar 02:55, 26 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Merge with List of Pokemon locations or whatever, or delete. --Carnildo 23:01, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Keep I fully support Enzo Aquarius. Although this is a made up city, but Wikipedia is full of this kind of fictional places. If the article is to be deleted, why not just delete all fictional location articles in Wikipedia? User:Raidentherv 19:03, 9 April 2005 (UTC)
- Because not all fictions are equal. Some have had tremendous cultural impact over decades, centuries or even millenia. Others have enjoyed a brief period of popularity but may prove to be only a fad. There is also a difference in how much there is to be said about a location: a town in a video game may only be a couple of screens and there may not be much more to say about it than "you can get heal potions there". In contrast, a major location in a major work may be of such complexity to take up a major portion of the book. The suggestion that "one size fits all", that either we keep all fictional locations or we keep none, just doesn't make sense. -- Antaeus Feldspar 19:17, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Keep- Anon.
- Keep - there are dozens of Pokemon cities with articles, and hundreds of fictional cities with articles. To get rid of that many articles you'd need to get support for a more far-reaching policy on the matter than VfD can provide a mandate for, IMO. Bryan 16:14, 17 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Keep I normally don't flame here, but this entry's creator has a very lame reason, not to mention that it isn't NPOV. If you don't like it, don't look at it! Kind of like Goatse, I suppose. --/ɛvɪs/ 21:13, Apr 17, 2005 (UTC)
