Images
[edit]When uploading images please always edit the image description page and do two things:
- State the source of the image (the address of a web page, the title of the book or "I created this image myself.")
- State the copyright. The easiest way to list the copyright is to use a copyright tag. The most important tags are {{GFDL}}, {{PD}}, and {{fairuse}}. GFDL is for images that you create yourself. PD is for public domain images (either pre-1923 or released by the copyright holder). Fair use is for copyrighted images that we can use under the fair use rules in the USA.
Without proper source and copyright information, images will eventually be deleted!
You can view the image description page by clicking on an image, and edit it like any other wikipedia page: by clicking on the "edit this page" tab.

If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know exactly where you got the images (on my talk page) and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. — Zeimusu | Talk 05:05, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)
File source problem with File:1960Cessna180-remote.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:1960Cessna180-remote.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 17:02, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
