Trump Associates Had Sway Over Contracting and Budgeting
[edit]Hi all
This may be a useful resource to use when covering this issue
Thanks
John Cummings (talk) 13:14, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- @John Cummings: Hi, just curious, but "useful" how?
- Is there content in the article that you are suggesting this source be added to?
- Or, are you suggesting that new content be added, based on this source? (And if you so, are you going to add it? )
- Or, is this just some "Hey, look at what Trump did now" stuff...? (Which is the kind of pov-ish, forum-esque type stuff that doesn't really belong here)
- I'm not reallly clear on what the usefulness of this is. If you could enlighten me, it would be appreciated. Thanks - Thewolfchild (talk) 18:55, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Thewolfchild:, what I mean is this seems important to include somewhere but I'm not an American and don't understand what the Department of Veterans Affairs does, so I'm flagging it for other people to look at who understand the subject. Thanks, John Cummings (talk) 19:27, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
Appointments in Department of Veteran Affairs
[edit]The article references the executive biographies as a source for what are appointments by the president and what are appointments by the senate. This source doesn't seem to provide clarity on which positions are appointed by what party. As this page was last referenced in 2014, it may call for some added clarity on new titles and which are relevant to the Organization section of the article. --Engineerchange (talk) 15:43, 7 July 2019 (UTC)

Mission statement altered on its website, add?
[edit]The VA removed its mission statement to serve as a backup health system in times of crisis from its website.
The VA’s main three missions are to serve veterans through care, research and training, but a “fourth mission” was added by Congress in 1982: to provide hospital care and medical services to civilians during disasters and emergencies.
On Friday, March 13, all references to that fourth mission were removed and replaced with information that contains no reference to the mission whatsoever.
It is unclear why the page was edited.
Particularly in light of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic in the United States, this is significant. X1\ (talk) 20:21, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
