Wow, this is pretty POV. You're saying there is not one single person involved in monkeywrenching who isn't worried about any injuries the people who become involved in their conduct incur? I removed the POV -- monkeywrenching isn't historically a solely single activity. I also inserted the correct history of the term and removed the mention that monkeywrenching is solely an activity where nobody gets hurt -- plenty of people were hurt by monkeywrenching in the Mine fights and such back in the early 1900's.09:16, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

There's a difference between an ELF action and monkeywrenching; namely, that they are not neccessarily mutually inclusive of one another. ELF actions are non-violent; that is to say, that ELF actions do not harm living things (besides grass and such, sometimes). Either way, you should watch your toungue. I'm aware of the ELF organization. I haven't seen a correlation being drawn on this monkeywrenching page between their activities and monkeywrenching, so I'm rather confused as to why you're suddenly bringing them into the conversation at this point. I also fail to see the difference between Hurricane Katrina destroying things (such as people's houses) and ELF destroying things (such as people's houses), albeit ELF operates on a far smaller scale than Katrina. Just because Elf doesn't physically cut people's throats doesn't mean that it's not harming people -- go back and read your dictionary. Has Bin Ladden's threats and actions against America prompted any real change? No? Then why would members of ELF be deluded enough to believe that their similar terrorist actions are going to prompt any real change? ELF's actions only make people more aghast at ELF and help to paint all people who desire political changes regarding our ecological issues in a bad light. That being said, again, I fail to see why ELF's actions are in any way relevant to the historical definition of the term "monkeywrenching" and I wonder why you're bringing them into the conversation.
