I'm going to reset some of the changes made earlier to your Rutherford article. I don't want to start an edit war. We're just trying to make his entry look like the other biographic entries. If you want to discuss this use my talk page or send an e-mail....Lou I 05:07 19 Jun 2003 (UTC)
Hey Jpb1968: You said "We aren't perfect and we don't have to pretend to be". My recollection of my many years as a JW are very different from that. We were admonished that 'God's visible organization is the greatest organization on earth, because it alone is God's channel of communication, used by Him to deliver His mesage to mankind.'
Statements like that are elitist, and state that what the Watchtower Society publishes are God's words, not man's. What's that? Don't beleive that JWs/Watchtower ever said things like that? Perhaps I can refresh your memory: http://quotes.jehovahswitnesses.com/ . Note especially sections on "God's Channel" and "God's Organisation" Don't be afraid, it's not an "apostate" site; it only contains Watchtower quotes.
Cheers, Sincerely, ~Quotes.
I don't really see any contradiction between what you say and what he says above. What makes you think God can't have an organization consisting of imperfect people? Of course, Jehovah's Witnesses claim to be God's organization. You take exception to this, calling it elitism? Do you feel that your opinion is superior? If not, then why are you taking exception? If so, aren't you elitist?
I've noticed that there seems to be a question about the proper citing of the text of Regional Building Committee see the talk page there. Perhaps it can be quoted from the Watchtower quote site and they will allow it, if so, please provide the proper documentation on the talk page. It would be better to be rewritten so that we can claim it under the GFDL rather than under fair use (that is what I think it is now). If you don't do something about it, I think someone will list it on VfD soon. Alex756 03:25, 27 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Hello jpb, Glad to meet you. I have enjoyed dabbling with wikipedia for a while now (when I have the time). It is nice to see someone who is well-centered in our faith. george m
Jehovah's witnesses page march 25 2004

Thanks for your help on the NWT article
[edit]Thanks for your edits on the New World Translation article. As for the translators' names, I got the names from this article by Michael Marlowe. As you can tell, Marlowe didn't provide a good src for the names. As for the Palm NWT link, thanks for pointing out it's dubious nature. -iHoshie 01:22, Mar 31, 2004 (UTC)
PS: The JW's have always been a bit interesting to me.

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, serving as an elder on the west coast. I cannot believe how accurately you have portrayed the organization within this unique forum! How is it that apostates have not been able to change these articles? This is a facinating encyclopedia!
I look forward to your reply as you have the opportunity.

Speedy deletion nomination of Tony Robbins
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Tony Robbins, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
