There is a confusion: the county is Urgell (yet exist as a nobiliary title), Solsonès is a comarca (a type of Shire)
It's tricky, because the English-language equivalent to "comarca" is "county", even in countries like the US that never had counts. The US doesn't have "shires" (and a UK shire is simply a type of county). Since the article is written in US English, "county" is appropriate. But I will modify Comarques of Catalonia to clarify this issue. And maybe I need to rethink the boilerplate I've been using for the comarques, because (as an American) I didn't consider the possible implication by using the word "county" that they each woudl have had a count.-- Jmabel21:41, 4 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
