Six Flags Over Georgia; not Six Flags Great Adventure

This Entertainment Weekly review [1] incorrectly states that Day worked at Six Flags Great Adventure, which is in New Jersey. Day actually worked at Six Flags Over Georgia, as mentioned in the Top 10 Performances episode of American Idol. I've included this episode as a primary source - although the episode can be found online, I haven't provided a link, so as to avoid copyright infringement. --Jpcase (talk) 17:42, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dating the Atlanta Hawks source

This source [2] about Day performing the National Anthem for the Atlanta Hawks doesn't specify which year the event took place. I was able to find out through this page [3] however, that the article was written on November 26, 2003. EJay Rocks and EJay Online

I've decided to use Day's two offical websites, EJay Rocks and EJay Online, as primary sources. Neither of them are live anymore, but they can both be accessed through the Way Back Machine. The authenticity of EJay Online can be confirmed through the Gwinnett Daily Post article, [4] while the authenticity of EJay Rocks can be confirmed through this [5] FrontRowFanz interview with Day. I probably won't use frontrowfanz itself as a source, as it appears to be more or less a fansite. Association with Muhammad Ali

For years, this article suggested - without sourcing - that Day performed for Muhammad Ali *after* Idol. The phrasing for this information clearly came from Day's (now defunct, but archived) official website bio (seen here [6]). This bio doesn't actually state however, that Day ever performed for Ali *after* Idol; it does state that he did so before appearing on the show. This [7] 2013 PopCrush article - written before I started copy-editing and adding sources here - suggests that Day did in fact return to performing for Ali after appearing on Idol - but PopCrush doesn't offer any details regarding how it discovered this information. I find it likely that PopCrush simply drew from the earlier, unsourced version of our own Wiki article. Since it's entirely *possible* that Day continued performing for Ali later in life, and since PopCrush is, for all intents and purposes, a professional entertainment news publication, I've decided to use the PopCrush article as a source. But I've chosen to phrase the information about Day performing for Ali post-Idol in such as way as to make clear that this is only a vague assertion on the part of PopCrush and is lacking in any definitive evidence. --Jpcase (talk) 17:33, 17 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Audition song?

EJay's short section at American Idol (season 1) states that his audition song was "Get Here" by Oleta Adams, but I haven't been able to find any online sources specifying this, aside from this page [8] on whatnottosing.com. I've occasionally seen What Not to Sing mentioned in passing around the web, and it seems to be a more or less well-regarded website. But I'm not personally familiar with it and have the impression that it wouldn't be considered RS. Even if the website could be used as a source, it's completely unclear to me where they're getting this information. To my knowledge Day's audition was never shown, and I haven't found any interviews in which he's specified his audition song. If anyone can clear this up, let me know. Songs on Myspace

For those who aren't aware, all of MySpace's music files from over three years ago were corrupted in the time since I wrote this article.
