Talk:Siebenbuergen
Hi Joachim -- you are obviously very keen on contributing here, and that is really great. It's especially neat because you are writing in a foreign language -- something many native English speakers can't do. However, I think you might want to take some time and read through some of the naming conventions that are somewhat standard. For example, Niemand der Englisch als Muttersprache spricht, wisst dass Siebenbuergen auch Transylvanien ist. In Englisch verwendet man normalerweise viele Woerter, die eigentlich Latein sind. Or -- excusing the bad German, we English speakers are more likely to be familiar with the Latin than a specifically German place-name.
It would also make the article better if there were a more coherent temporal structure. --JHK
wild heathen Hungarians? This is how the monks from the Catholic Church recorded . The Catholic monks and bishops were the only ones recording anything for centuries. The farmer in the field did not read or write.
- actually, medieval literacy turns out, like everything else in history, to be a lot more complicated than that. But just because your source says 'wild heathen Hungarians' is no reason to say so yourself. --MichaelTinkler
