- Keep, but only if the article begins with information about the geographical location, not just the camps (it is a lake in Sequoia National Forest, Fresno County, California, and an adjacent unincorporated area; not sure why Rambot didn't pick it up and create an automatic article; can also be redirected to Hume, California which is sufficiently notable to create). By the way, the correct title should probably be Hume Lake, California. Antandrus 06:13, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I added a lead paragraph. The rest of the article needs a touch of NPOVing. Oh, and try the Google test on Hume lake if you're still unsure. This place is pretty famous. Antandrus 06:21, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)

- Keep re-write (nice work on the new intro and POV-ectomy, Antandrus, BTW). And, yeah, if/when someone wants to write about the much smaller Hume Lake (Texas) (which gets hardly any hits even searching for "Hume Lake" texas), Hume Lake should become a disambig between the two. Oh, there's an Aussie 'Hume Lake' as well (only found with "Hume Lake" -california -christian -ministries -sequoia) that also could force a disamb page, but the MoS says to only disambig when necessary, and the only article linking here, John S. Eastwood, is, indeed, looking for the CA 'Hume Lake', so it's probably not necessary yet. And, I would argue that, if anything, Hume, California should, at least for the time being, redir to Hume Lake, as it appears that the 25 (at most--census data for ZIP 93628 covers a pretty big area) year-around households there are probably all to serve the lake's camps. - Thanks for the additional research, and the map, N! It is looking like the village exists to serve the recreational facilities, so a redirect from Hume, California, or Hume Lake Village, California to Hume Lake may be best. Antandrus 15:37, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I agree it's a much better article now than when I submitted it for deletion, when it did not tell us where the camp is or why it is notable. Thanks to those who worked on it, I would now also vote to keep. Jonathunder 18:53, 2005 Feb 27 (UTC)
