Re:Jewish Socialist Party

Same time and place. According to Henryk Grossman article, he joined the unlinked "Jewish Social Democratic Party of Galicia in 1905". Note that Polish Wiki gives the full name of Poale Zion as Żydowska Socjaldemokratyczna Partia Robotnicza "Poalej Syjon": Jewish Scialdemocratic Workers Party "PS". If it is not the same party, it is some small splinter - there seem to have been a few that split and merged all the time. I wish we had more info; I will see if I can stub Adolf Mosler as my small contribution to that story. I do think, however, that it was Anzelm Mosler, not Adolf (try googling for those two names...). At least Anzelm has a Polish Biographical Dictionary entry (Łopuszański, Bolesław (1977) 'Mosler Anzelm', in Polska Akademia Nauk Instytut Historii (ed.) Am reading Rick Kuhn's biog of Grossman. They are completely different parties - perhaps Polish wiki is wrong? JSPD/ZSDP was break from social democratic movement, and highly critical of PZ. Answer to the question you asked me about democratic socialism and social democracy

Hi, the reason i have been adding Democratic socialism and social democracy in many articles is because ideologically i believe that most parties that define themselves to be democratic Socialist are social democratic as well and vice versa because most socialist parties will try to remove the injustices of capitalism and reform it but not remove it and support a mixed economy, that is social democracy, but also most also support a welfare state and an evolutionary, electoral, democratic path towards Socialism and/or a fairer society which is democratic socialism, in contrast to a revolutionary path. most Centre-left parties wether they define themselves as social democrats or democratic socialists believe in these basic things and also if you look at the two ideologies in depth they are very closely intertwined with each other and it is my belief that both ideologies are so closely related that they should be used synonymously with each other. as for the parties i have added these two ideologies to i have read their policies over and over and have deemed them to adhere to these two idologies and as you know it is difficult to provide a reference that states explicitly that they adhere to these two ideologies so i have had to go by what their policies are and have added social democracy and democratic socialism based on my judgement of their policies.

Bolshevik Party (North Kurdistan-Turkey) - Terrorist Status

It occurs to me that user talk is a better tool than edit summaries for exchaning opinions. At least for the sake of the details. I note that the Bolshevik Party (North Kurdistan-Turkey) is not a terrorist organization because its historical roots has also given birth to terrorist organisations. Maybe jugding TİİKP (Revolutionary Workers and Peasants Party of Turkey) as terrorist is state POV (and checking my List of illegal political parties in Turkey would demonsrate my sensitivity to avoid that, but not only for Republic of Turkey), however at least one of its splinters, TKP/ML-TİKKO, is a terrorist organization. And Doğu Perinçek admits that (http://www.beepworld.de/members10/c-a-t-i-/ekler2.htm). Furthermore the name suggests to me and probably anyone not associated with communist circles in Turkey that the organisation might be terrorist; because we would expect the denomination North Kurdistan to be used by Kurdish separatists such as PKK. That's why the terrorist status section is relevant to the article. I'll put it there back with some additional explanation. If you still want to revert that go on and do it. The talk of metroexpress isnt gossip and is backed up by other news sources. The case regards a conviction in Denmark, and would - if merely gossip - be tried for injuries. Use of the word "terrorism"

Hello fellow Wikipedian! I agree that the word terrorism is a pejorative one. That's why I try to use the term "illegal political pary" instead of terrorist organisation as in the article I started titled List of illegal political parties in Turkey. I hope that's a neutral denomination (However let me add that I personally think that organisations such as PKK, TKP/ML and Turkish Hezbollah are terrorist and should be dealt away with force. That understanding of mine might surface in the discussion pages; but if it happens in the articles, by mistake, it should of course be removed.).

Now, WP:TERRORIST states that "In line with the Wikipedia Neutral Point of View policy, the words "Extremist", "Terrorist" and "Freedom fighter" should be avoided unless there is a verifiable citation indicating who is calling a person or group by one of those names in the standard Wikipedia format of "X says Y"." I have added sections titled Terrorist Status to various articles stating, for example, that "The organisation is listed among the 12 active terrorist organisation in Turkey according to Counter-Terrorism and Operations Department of Directorate General for Security...". I believe that "X says Y" format. However in order to be even more sensitive about the use of the term "terrorist" I propose changing the section names to Designation as a Terrorist Organisation as in the article List of designated terrorist organizations. No, thank you for your constructive criticism. I believe it helps improving the articles. I'll change the titles anyway. And in the human resources sections I'll replace "terrorist files" with "files about people convicted of being a terrorist under Turkish laws" and "terrorists" with "militants", as you have suggested. Indeed I have already done that in PKK and Great Eastern Islamic Raiders' Front articles. I'll finish the work tomorrow, after getting some sleep.

And, yes, the mentioned study gives statistics en bloc. However I think the reason is probably that there are no statistically significant differences between the left-wing organisations covered by the study. The human resources bases for MLKP should be similar with TKP/ML, MKP and DHKP/C since they all have the same historical roots. So I thought the available statistics is better than none. However it you still find it inappropriate please go on and remove that section. I have checked out the history of the article and clearly can see that it's your work which expanded it from a single line to a meaningful contribution. Best regards. Good article. I hope I'll be able to expand it when I get some time in the next month. I'm not really sure if the party participated in the 1923 elections, i have to check it out. After 1920, there was quite some confusion in the Socialist camp. Most of the Slovenian social democrats joined the Yugoslav Socialist Party, but later a fraction re-founded the JSDS, which was not particularly successful. Anyway, i'll check it out. Hard-line Italian communist parties

Do what you want with Italian communist parties but your imposing way of dealing with articles is really inappropriate for Wikipedia. It is our opinion against mine (you consider misleading something which is not in my view), so why is it your that should prevail? I noticed that in Austrian legislative election, 2008 FPÖ is labeled as "far-right". re personal sandbox page: 'Re-write of Buddhism & Christianity

Hi, Soman. I'm most grateful to you for drawing this to my attention. Not sure what's happened here. If you look at my user page you'll maybe see how I thought I had in fact created it as just a personal sandbox page. But sounds like it isn't as simple as that. I suspect the key word the significance of which I'm missing is namespace. It has some important technical significance of which I'm ignorant? Have looked at the fork page you've linked to, but am still none the wiser.

Could you tell me how you came across the page? I certainly didn't create it as part of the article itself, and when I go to the article it doesn't connect to this page. Have now put the User page template on each of my personal pages, but don't know if this"ll suffice to resolve the issue. EKP in 1990

While I personally think Termer is being somewhat dogmatic that the EKP splitting from the CSPU is impossible, because it implies the party splitting with itself, I currently don't have any definitive source to back up either side of the argument. Sadly, I'm not really so well versed in the Esotnian case as I am in the Latvian one, which is more my area of specialisation. However, a key person in this context appears to be et:Enn-Arno Sillari, as in this Time Magazine article from 1990: [3]; and this one from NYT: [4]. Sillari is also mentioned in Anatol Lieven's Baltic Revolution, p. 278, as the head of the "Estonian rump" EKP. Hope this helps. I made an inaccurate description of another's editors unexplained removal of relevant material. Here is a passage from a book chapter on the subject by Yuezhi Zhao:

"The massive spread of Falun Gong and its sustained global media activism is no doubt the most dramatic episode in the contestation over media power in the Chinese language symbolic universe. The fastest and most spectacular program of modernization involving the world’s largest population over the past two decades has produced an unprecedented, if contradictory, backlash against modernity. In short, one of the most tightly controlled modern media systems in the world has bred one of the most powerful counter-ideological and communication networks. Compared with the 1989 prodemocracy discourse, Falun Gong’s challenge against the Chinese media system and state power is more profound in its substance, more widespread in its societal reach, more globalized in its structure, and more sustained and militant in its efforts.

In terms of critics of the CCP, Falun Gong is one of, if not the most prominent. The CCP also cops enourmous criticism from the majority of western media outlets, and Falun Gong's anti-CCP discourse usually centres on the same liberal democratic themes. Falun Gong is "critical" of the CCP as a knee-jerk reaction to the ban of the group in 1999. The article "Nine Commentaries on the CCP" is not written by Falun Gong and is neither a part of FLG teachings. It is not taken as a serious criticism of the CCP by any academic source, and the article provides no referencing and sources whatsoever. It's claims are highly exaggerated, and claims that the CCP is "a evil spirit from the west", and "God will destroy the CCP on Judgement Day". There is a scholar just there explaining the importance of Falun Gong's criticism of the CCP, how is it not relevant? Falun Gong sources are only good for expressing the Falun Gong point of view, of course, whatever we may think of that. But your response doesn't address the issues, and Soman simply hasn't responded, though he has reverted again with a note not to use inaccurate descriptions of vandalism. The disputed content and using an inaccurate description of another user's edit are obviously separate issues. I don't understand that behaviour. It seems like a way to not address the fact that the content has been removed again and the discussion about it is being ignored. This thing is all about sources, and right there I have an excellent source attesting to the value of this material in this context. First of all, this is not the talk page of the article, and not the place to enter into content dispute. Personally, I cannot see how the wordings in the passage PCPP and myself have removed would stand in an encyclopedia. The fact that Falun Gong criticized CPC is mentioned earlier in the passage, and the posting of commentary like "evil cult and "anti-universe force"" doesn't really contribute much. In general, 'criticism' section are a bad idea for articles on political organizations. --Soman (talk) 16:37, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

I agree that the phrasing should be made encyclpaedic - but the sbject is indeed very relevant to the article .. please do see http://ninecommentaries.com . The commentaries are swiftly growing in popularity in china and tens of thouands manage to announce their statements denouncing CCP online each day, despite the internet censorship there. In my opinion something that has had such a huge impact is indeed worthy of inclusion in the article. Particularly when academics such as ownby and zhao have brought attention to the issue.
