Those look like the visible parts. Don't forget the tang, the extension of the blade that forms a core within the hilt (grip) to transfer stresses to the blade, and which is commonly locked in place by the pommel. PML.
I'd like to move details to specific articles (blade, hilt) and merge what's left into sword. Martin 22:11, 10 Sep 2003 (UTC)
