- They may have been put off by the general lack of capitalization, etc. It's much better now; please see also the note on your talk page. MisfitToys

Hardest Hitting?
[edit]"He is most well known for his hard hits on opposing players, rivaling fellow safeties Steve Atwater and Jack Tatum as the hardest hitter of all time."-This is unsubstantiated, untrue, and arbitrary. It should be removed.
College Cheating
[edit]If Ronnie Lott brags about cheating on video then I think that is a credible source. --Gbleem 19:53, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Super Bowl XXIII
[edit]I saw this line in the "Other Facts" section and removed it: "His devastating hit against Ickey Woods was one of the early turning points of Super Bowl XXIII." I checked the play-by-play, and Lott only tackled Woods twice in that game. The first was on a 3rd-and-3 play where Woods gained six yards. The second was on a 1st-and-10 play late in the first quarter where Woods was stopped for a 2-yard gain. Maybe it was a devestating hit, but it's hard to say that this play was a turning point in the game. The Bengals went on to tie the game and eventually take the lead, and Woods ended up as the game's leading rusher. Anson2995 16:46, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Pinkie amputation
[edit]Ronnie Lott amputated his own pinky so I put that on here and it was reverted. I used the words "well known and that was the reason it was reverted. Can I put it back on there that he chopped of his own pinky? Toouchdoooown Jags 3/15/2009
Philanthropy
[edit]https://kinginstitute.stanford.edu/about/king-institute
In 2005, with an initial $1 million endowment pledge from Hall of Fame football star Ronnie Lott and his All Stars Helping Kids organization, Dr. Clayborne Carson founded the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute to provide a permanent financial base for the King Papers Project and a broad range of other educational activities.
