[edit]

My original post was deleted by another user so I am re-adding it. The official picture's date is wrong. This picture is not from 2013 but from 2008/2009 as here is the full sized version: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sheila_Jackson-Lee.jpg and as you can see it is exactly the same as the one on her article: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sheila_Jackson_Lee_113th_Congress.jpg, however someone has cropped it, edited the background to remove the flag and changed the colour. I was therefore wondering if we could swap it to the one from 2018: Sheila Jackson Lee 116th Congress.jpg, which is a more up to date image. 81.96.52.167 (talk) 17:58, 6 August 2024 (UTC) 81.96.52.167 (talk) 17:58, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Declined I told you on you're talk page the year is not wrong. The photographs are not the same, they are two different photographs. No editor made any changes to the photograph. The background color was not changed and the United States flag was not removed. Your request is purely disruptive to this talk page. Catfurball (talk) 19:46, 6 August 2024 (UTC) Also the photographs are from two different websites. Catfurball (talk) 19:48, 6 August 2024 (UTC) And if would look above there is a vote that is taking place on wither to keep the photograph in the article or change to a different photograph. I am extremely concerned by the fact that you cannot see that the images are the same, except one has been cropped and the background changed, plus the flag removed. The pose, jewelry, outfit, hair style in both pictures are exactly the same. My request is not disruptive as I am merely pointing out that the date on the article, which is currently 2013, is inaccurate as the photograph was taken in 2008/2009. 81.96.52.167 (talk) 20:07, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
